Two local Optimist Clubs held their annual oratorical contests this past week.

For the Mid-Day Optimist Club, Michelle Lin captured first place, Lauren Riley took second, and Pitcha Piangkaeo finished in third.

For the Morning Optimist Club, Andrea Gooden took first place, Piper Brunson was second, and Jasmine Davis was third.

The top two contestants now advance to the District Competition.
