In Warrensburg, Missouri, on April 4th, 2024, around 8:41 A.M., Warrensburg police officers responded to Marr Drive and South Maguire Street following a report of a potential attempted abduction of a minor.

Upon arrival, officers engaged with the minor who explained missing the bus and opting to walk to the high school. According to the minor, while passing by the U-Haul Rental at 1309 S. Maguire Street near Marr Drive, a dark red box-style SUV approached and the driver, described as a white male around 40 years old with a neglected black beard, allegedly grabbed the minor’s arm when they refused to comply. However, the minor resisted, kicking the male, who then reportedly retreated into his vehicle and departed the scene.

Despite an extensive search of the area and review of surveillance footage, no corroborating evidence or witnesses have been found to confirm the incident. Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the incident around 8:00 A.M. to contact the Warrensburg Police Department’s Investigations Bureau at 660-747-9133.
