The Sedalia Police Department was dispatched to a shooting on the 400th block of North Prospect on April 9.

Officers arrived on the scene to find a female victim lying in the front yard of the residence with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to receive medical care.

The Pettis County Sheriff’s Office was called to assist with the investigation as well.
