On April 9, around 11:50 PM, an operation was conducted at 11470 Alexander Rd. in Sedalia, by a collaborative effort involving a detective from the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force, the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force, the K9 unit of the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office, and the Drone Unit of the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office.
This operation was in response to a shooting incident earlier that day in the 400 block of N. Prospect. Through thorough investigation, this location was identified as a potential whereabouts of the suspected shooter. Upon arrival, law enforcement apprehended Bear Hagston from Kansas City without any resistance.
He is currently detained in the Pettis County Sheriff’s Jail facing charges of 1st Degree Assault, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon, with a no bond warrant issued against him.
Following Hagston’s arrest, a search warrant was executed at the address for suspected drug-related offenses. The search uncovered multiple baggies containing methamphetamine in small quantities along with packaging materials. Three individuals were taken into custody during the operation and transported to the Pettis County Jail:
– Richard Buckner of Marshall, held for Possession of a Controlled Substance under a 24-hour hold.
– Michael Butler of Marshall, held for Possession of a Controlled Substance under a 24-hour hold.
– Dylon Motley of Sedalia, held for Possession of a Controlled Substance under a 24-hour hold.
Charges resulting from these arrests are being presented to Pettis County Prosecutor Anthony Farkas.
