The Johnson County Fire Protection District responded to a structure fire yesterday afternoon. Two residents escaped a house fire on NE Division Road near Warrensburg with no injuries, although one dog didn’t survive. The blaze, which started in the basement, consumed the residence despite efforts from multiple fire units, including the dispatched Johnson County Fire Protection District. The cause remains undetermined after investigation by the Missouri State Fire Marshal and local authorities.
