The Marshall City Council approved several bids for street maintenance related projects during its meeting on Tuesday, April 16. The first bid was for the cold milling of city streets. A total of three bids were  received, with the low bid coming from Higgins Asphalt Paving Company in the amount $2.14 per square yard.

The next bid was for an emulsified asphalt slurry seal. Two bids were received with the low bid coming from Pavement Management LLC at the cost of $4.40 per square yard.
The final bid was for two inches of asphalt overlay.

Three bids were received and the low bid was Higgins Asphalt once again. The cost of the bid was $139.15 per ton, which includes the purchase and application of the asphalt. The council approved all three bids. These projects were all budgeted items. The city hopes to have these street projects completed by July 2024, before the next school year.
