Four individuals were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Howard County, on highway 5

on Tuesday afternoon.  Shelby Thompson, 33, crossed the center line in her vehicle hitting nearby driver Kristopher Elliot.

Elliott was ejected from his vehicle and then due to injuries, was then airlifted to University Hospital in serious condition. Passengers Hayley McCutcheon, 24, and Michael Walters, 20, were also injured.

Walters has been treated and released, while Elliott remains in fair condition. Thompson, who suffered minor injuries, refused medical treatment and was arrested for suspected DWI.

None of the individuals were wearing seat belts.
