Smith-Cotton High School senior Jacelyn Lancaster has qualified for 2024 national competitions in three Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO): DECA, FBLA and HOSA.

She is moving on to nationals in Orlando, Fla., after placing first in Digital Video Production at district and third at state. She also placed first at district in Healthcare Administration and second in UX Design.

For Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), Lancaster secured a spot at nationals in Houston, Texas, with her Healthcare Exam score. She also will be going to Las Vegas, Nevada, after placing first in state with an event in Occupational Safety and Health and the Anatomage Table competition.

Lancaster also earned a trip to nationals in Anaheim, Calif., with Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA). She competed in the Business Services Operations Research category, placing third at district and in state. Her project for this included a 20-page research paper and an oral presentation.

Lancaster said, “I am so incredibly thankful for the opportunity to attend the National HOSA, FBLA, DECA, and Anatomage competitions. But more so, I am immensely grateful to the incredible advisers who have supported me throughout my journey, from freshman year to now. Their unwavering support has opened doors for me to participate in numerous leadership conferences and competitions. Attending these conferences has allowed me to connect with like-minded individuals and expand my network, which I hope to continue during these upcoming events.”
