A woman from Sweet Springs died in a crash in Hill County, Texas. Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to a crash on Interstate 35’s Mile Marker #361 at approximately 11:50 p.m. Friday.

While a road crew was working and performing traffic control for the inside lane, a Chevrolet pickup truck traveling northbound crashed into the Truck Mounted Attenuator (safety bumper), lost control and spun in front of and collided with an approaching truck tractor. DPS says the driver has been identified as 35-year-old Micah Elfrink of Sweet Springs. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been notified.
