
Norma V. Harding, 86, of Sweet Springs, MO, died Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Country Club Care Center in Warrensburg, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Sweet Springs, with Marvin Buesing officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Memorials are suggested to Mt. Born August 21, 1937, in Houstonia, MO, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Preston Bechtel and Dorothy Maybelle Simmons Bechtel. She was raised in Houstonia and was a graduate of Houstonia High School. On March 22, 1959, she married Bill J Harding who preceded her in death on December 14, 2020. She worked at Rival Manufacturing in Sweet Springs until it closed then worked as a sample lady at Wal-Mart. Norma was an active member of Mt. Zion Christian Church. She was an avid bowler for years and enjoyed crafts especially ceramics and flower gardening. She and Bill enjoyed fishing, camping and boating and had a large vegetable garden.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth J Harding (Kim) of Knob Noster, MO; two grandchildren, Mitch Harding (Jennifer) of Kearney and Mikayla Cox (Ben) of Lee’s Summit; four great-grandchildren, Zeke and Loralynn Harding, Kenna and Cam Cox; a sister-in-law, Maryann Harding of Sedalia; as well as nieces and a nephew.
