The Higginsville Board of Aldermen approved several bills during its meeting on Monday, May 6.

The first bill was to enable the city to join Show Me PACE, pursuant to the Property Assessment Clean Energy Act. The bill allows PACE to work in Higginsville and serve all businesses in the community.

The board also approved a bill authorizing the purchase of three parking lots owned by Mainstreet Higginsville. These lots include the Caboose Lot on 22nd and Main, the Senior Center Lot at 21st and Walnut, and the lot behind the Post Office on 20th and Shelby.

In addition to those bills, the board approved a proclamation recognizing the week of May 19-24 as EMS Week.

The board concluded its meeting by re-appointing Scott Rhoad as Mayor Pro-Tem.
