
The Kansas City Royals took down the Oakland Athletics 6-2 on Friday, May 17.
Kansas City scored a run early, and then erupted for five runs in the sixth inning to take a commanding 6-0 lead. The Athletics scored two in the ninth, but fell short in the end.
Cole Ragans picked up the win, going seven scoreless innings with seven strikeouts.
Maikel Garcia and Michael Massey both homered. Salvador Perez had three hits and drove in a run.
The Royals improve to 27-19 on the season.
