Linda K. Ricker, 70 of Gravois Mills, formerly of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024.

Memorial Mass will be 11:30am, Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, SACRED Heart Chapel, with Fr. Brad Berhorst as celebrant. Inurnment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Rosary will be recited at 9:30am, followed by the family receiving friends from 9:45am until service time. Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.

Linda was born April 22, 1954, in Sedalia, to the late Adolph and Irene Himmelsbach Belker. She attended school in Sedalia, graduating from Sacred Heart High School. She went on to get her education from State Fair Community College with an Associates of Art degree, the University of Missouri, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Education, the University of Missouri Masters Education and finally Central Missouri State University Education Specialist.

On August 17, 1974, she married Mike Ricker, her high school sweetheart, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He survives at home.

Linda was an educator at the following schools in Missouri, St. Peter Catholic School in Fulton, Sacred Heart Catholic School in Sedalia, Blackwater R-II School in Blackwater, Cole Camp R-I School in Cole Camp, and retired from Warrensburg Middle School in Warrensburg.

Additional survivors include her daughter Tara Weber (Nick) of Sedalia; granddaughter Kaylea Weber of Sedalia; brother Robert Belker, Sr. (Louella) of Gravois Mills; brother-in-law Carroll Roberts of Columbia; sister-in-law Sunny Shultz of Harrisonville, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister Margaret Ann Roberts.

Linda loved the Lake of the Ozarks. At the age of 3, her parents bought their first lake house on Lake Road 5-18. She and Mike love to go boating, and she was Mike’s “first mate”. Her granddaughter knew her as Meme and has many fond memories of the two of them.
