The Kansas City Royals completed a three-game sweep over the Oakland Athletics with
an 8-4 win on Sunday, May 19. Brady Singer pitched a quality start, going six innings while allowing only one run. He gave up six hits and struck out nine. The Royals offense gave Singer plenty of run support, scoring eight runs on nine hits. Maikel Garcia and Bobby Witt Jr. both drove in two runs, while Vinnie Pasquantino drove in three runs with a pinch-hit, bases-clearing triple. The Royals complete the sweep and improve to 29-19 on the season.
