The Concordia Board of Aldermen rescinded and accepted a bid for a CDBG project during its meeting on Monday, May 20.

The board had previously accepted a bid from Alpha and Construction LLC for a sidewalk project in the amount of $94,500. However, the board had to rescind the resolution that approved the contract due to the board not meeting the qualifications of advertisement for the bid process.

After meeting the advertising requirements, City Administrator Dale Klussman said the board then accepted the bid from Alpha Contracting and Construction LLC, even though it wasn’t the lowest bid.

The bid was approved. The board initially approved this bid in April 2024.
