The Kansas City Royals defeated the Detroit Tigers 8-3 on Monday, May 20. Kansas City scored six runs in the sixth inning to pull away and seal the victory. The offense was powered by Salvador Perez and Michael Massey, who both homered in the game. Michael Wacha went seven strong innings, allowing two runs on six hits.
The Royals improve to 30-19 on the season and have the third best record in the American League.
