Show-Me Dinosaurs is launching the Summer Reading Program at every Trails Regional Library branch, offering an engaging dinosaur adventure. Children will have the opportunity to learn about dinosaurs, participate in a Fossil Dig activity, and engage in early literacy. Trails staff have prepared various dinosaur-themed activities and outdoor games.Visitors can interact with dinosaurs, take photos, and take home fossil finds and craft creations. Admission is free, and all are encouraged to attend. Patrons can sign up for the 2024 Summer Reading Program Adventure Awaits at your local Trails Regional Library.

    • May 29, 2024:
      • 10:30 am: Lexington Branch (One large and three baby dinosaurs)
      • 2:00 pm: Odessa Branch (One large and three baby dinosaurs)
    • May 30, 2024:
      • 10:30 am: Knob Noster Branch (Three baby dinosaurs)
      • 1:00 pm: Holden Branch (Three baby dinosaurs)
      • 3:30 pm: Leeton Express Branch (Three baby dinosaurs)
    • May 31, 2024:
      • 10:30 am: Warrensburg Branch (Two large and three baby dinosaurs)
    • June 3, 2024:
      • 9:30 am: Waverly Branch (Three baby dinosaurs)
      • 11:30 am: Corder Branch (Three baby dinosaurs)
      • 2:30 pm: Concordia Branch (Two large and three baby dinosaurs) (held at the Concordia Community Center)
  • Trails Regional Library consists of eight branches and one express branch, serving Johnson and Lafayette counties.
