Mr. Roger Tieman, 88, of Alma, MO, died Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Good Shepherd Care Community in Concordia, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alma, with Pastor Bernard Ross officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the church. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran School or The Lutheran Hour in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Born October 17, 1935, in Alma, he was the son of the late Martin Tieman and Selma Kessler Tieman. On February 18, 1961, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alma, he married Iola Brunkhorst who preceded him in death on February 6, 2020.

Roger lived outside of Alma his entire life with Iola and was a lifelong farmer. Following graduation, he joined the United States Army where he served for two years both stateside and in Korea. He was a member of the Tieman-Blackburn American Legion Post 478. Roger was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, in which he served on several boards and held many offices. He was also a member of the Trinity Men’s Club and the Alma Lions Club.

Roger is survived by one son, Kent Tieman (Amy) of Alma; daughter-in-law, Ann Tieman of Alma; five grandchildren, Andrew Tieman, Clayton Tieman (Bailey), Phoebe Tieman, Ross Tieman (Raschel) and Chad Tieman (Haley); five great-grandchildren, Henry, Rhen, Hazel, Ripp and Tatum Tieman; along with several nieces and nephews.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David Tieman; and three sisters, Roseleen Corder, Marcile Kellerman and Shirley Schlesselman.
