Detectives with the Crime Resolution Unit and Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force served a search warrant that was a result of a month’s long joint investigation into drug trafficking in Sedalia on Thursday, May 23.

The search warrant was issued for 1410 South Missouri Avenue, which is roughly 200 feet from Vermont Park. Detectives searched the residence and located a large quantity of methamphetamine and evidence to support it was being distributed from the residence.

At the conclusion of the search warrant, one subject was arrested, and charges of drug trafficking in the first degree, distribution of a controlled substance in a protected location, and possession of a controlled substance are being requested.

Per KMMO policy the name of the subject will not be released until formal charges are filed.
