Barbara Ann Wright, 77, of Marshall, died Friday, May 24, 2024 at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 11 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Slater, with Fr. Francis Doyle officiating. Burial will be in Slater City Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 until 11 A.M. at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Saline County Mental Health Association in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.

Born October 29, 1946 in rural Slater, she was the daughter of the late Wilmer J. and Mary Katherine Spreitzer Brumit. She was married to Kenneth Wright, and he preceded her in death. She later married Paul Fuchs on March 3, 2018, and he preceded her in death on December 16, 2021.

She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Jenkins and her husband Scott of Holt, Missouri, and Kourtenay Householter of Marshall; a step-son, Robbie Fuchs and his wife Miranda of Marshall; two grandchildren, Raleigh Myers and her husband Jacob, and Remi Jenkins; a great-grandson, Jameson Myers; a sister, Brenda Casey and her husband Lloyd of Blue Springs; and two brothers, Larry Brumit and his wife Kathy of Slater, and David Brumit and his wife Bobbie of Columbia.

Ms. Wright was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and the Daughters of Isabella. She attended Central R-2 Schools in rural Slater, and was a 1964 graduate of Slater High School, where she was active in sports. She received a BS in Business Management from Missouri Valley College in Marshall in 1997. She was a founding member of the Midday Optimist Club in Marshall. She was involved in the Saline County Mental Health Association, where she helped with the newsletter. She was a longtime Deputy in the Saline County Clerk’s office, and enjoyed gardening.
