The warehouse in the 1600 block of Mid-America Industrial Drive in Boonville, operated by Spirit of ’76 Fireworks, caught fire on Monday afternoon. No one was hurt and everyone evacuated safely.

The business was alerted around 1 p.m. on Monday about fire alarms and discovered a fire contained to one area of the building. The cause of the fire is still unknown.

The sprinkler system seemed to function correctly, with 20 employees present at the time.

No injuries were reported.

As of 6:20 p.m., the fire was still active. Determining the cause of the fire might take days.
