The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a crash on May 27, 2024, at 5:15 PM, involving a 2001 Ford truck traveling eastbound on NE 500 Road, a mile east of Highway 13. The vehicle, driven by a 17-year-old male from Warrensburg, ran off the roadway and overturned.

It sustained total damage. Three occupants in the vehicle suffered minor injuries: two 17-year-old females, one from Pleasant Hill and the other from Warrensburg, and an 18-year-old male, Brayden Eiskina, from Warrensburg. None of the occupants were using safety devices.
