The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works reviewed a report from Water Treatment Plant Superintendent Travis Boss during its meeting on Thursday, May 30.
In the Water Treatment report, Boss stated that the well maintenance and treatment project is progressing as originally planned. One of the wells for the Water Treatment Department is scheduled to be pulled for repairs due to testing that indicates the specific capacity of the well has dropped.
An additional acid treatment along with swabbing is recommended at an additional cost of $5,230. Boss then reported that he is getting bids for the disposal of the hydrofluosilicic acid.
This project initially started on May 15.
The next board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 13.
