The Kansas City Royals fell to the Minnesota Twins 7-6 on Thursday, losing three of four in the series.

Kansas City struck first, scoring the first four runs of the game, but the Twins responded with seven in the fourth, fifth, and sixth.

Kansas City got two back in the ninth off of a two-runs single from Bobby Witt Jr., but Minnesota held on for the win.

Daniel Lynch went five innings, allowing three runs (two earned), with two strikeouts. Chris Stratton took the loss, giving up four runs in the sixth.

Vinnie Pasquantino and MJ Melendez both homered.

The loss moves the Royals to 35-23 on the season. Kansas City is currently three games back from the AL Central lead.
