A Sedalia man was flown to a Columbia hospital after suffering serious injuries in a one-vehicle accident Sunday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the crash just after 1:30 within Sedalia, when a pickup driven by 23-year-old Nathan Seifner went off the eastbound lanes of Route 50 just before 12th Street and struck a tree. No other passengers were in the vehicle. Troopers say Seifner was not wearing his seatbelt.
