A pair of bridges in Cooper County are closed this month for bridge rehabilitation projects, while a bridge will close Wednesday in Howard County for a similar project.
The Route 41 bridge over Slough Creek, two miles south of Arrow Rock, closed Monday morning for a rehabilitation project that is expected to last much of the month. This is the second bridge undergoing rehabilitation this month, as the Route 5 bridge over the Petite Saline Creek about three miles south of Boonville closed last week for similar repairs.
The Missouri Department of Transportation will also close for repairs beginning Wednesday the Route P bridge in Howard County over the Bonne Femme Creek, just east of New Franklin. The project to rehabilitate this 63-year-old bridge is expected to take about three months.
Motorists will need to seek an alternate route around each of these closures.
