A section of S Kentucky St in Sedalia will close Tuesday to repair a failed storm sewer.

The City of Sedalia’s Utilities Staff will close the street between West 20th and West 24th streets beginning Tuesday at 7 a.m. Heavy equipment and workers will operate in and near the roadway to repair the sewer. Residents along the closed road will need to coordinate with city crews on site should they need access to their driveways. Drivers through the area will need to take West 24th street east to Ohio, then north to West 20th, to detour around the work.

Crews in Sedalia say they expected to complete the road work by 6 p.m., but could be delayed should inclement weather or equipment breakdowns occur.
