The Concordia Board of Aldermen approved a bid for HVAC equipment for the Community Center during its meeting on Monday, June 3.

City Administrator Dale Klussman said the city received three bids for the equipment. The board was looking to enter into a ten-year lease for the equipment.

The city wants to enter into a ten-year lease for the equipment because that is how long the heat exchangers are under warranty for. After some discussion, the board approved a $144,000 bid from Beerman Heating and Cooling for the equipment.

The board also delivered a proclamation congratulating the 2024 Concordia Lady Orioles Softball team for winning the MSHSAA Class 1 State Championship. The team went 30-2 in 2024 and defeated Ash Grove back on May 21 to win the title.
