The Boonville City Council approved street and parking lot closures for the Heritage Days festival during its meeting on Monday, June 3.

The City of Boonville has celebrated Heritage Days since 1989. The Boonville Chamber of Commerce works on the event every year, which features parade, arts and craft booths, food vendors, free entertainment, and static displays.

The council approved a motion to close several streets for the event. These closures include 4th Street, from Morgan to Vine; Chestnut Street, from 4th to 6th; and Spring Street, from 3rd to Main. In addition to the street closures, the council also agreed to close the parking lot behind the Boonville Post Office for the festival.

Heritage Days is scheduled for June 20-22 in Boonville.

In other news, the council approved the second reading of a bill to approve a Final Site Plan for Spry Storage Facility.
