Central Methodist University has named Dustyn Yung their new women’s basketball head coach.
Yung comes to CMU from Columbia Battle High School, where he coached the Spartans to winning records in each of his three seasons there. The CMU grad also spent two years as an assistant coach at Moberly Area Community College, and was the director of basketball operations at Bradley University in Illinois. In a statement announcing Yung’s hiring, athletics director Jeff Sherman said that Yung, “is a man of high character with a relentless work ethic, knowledge and passion for basketball and CMU.” Sherman added that Yung brings a “detailed vision of success” and believes that, “he will lead our program putting student athletes first and committed to helping young women reach their full potential on and off the court.”
Yung is the 11th head coach in CMU Women’s Basketball program history. The Eagles had a record of 13-16 last season.
