Shannon “Shag” Arnold, 50, of Malta Bend, MO, died Monday, June 3, 2024, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2024, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating.  Burial will follow in Howard Chapel Cemetery near Urbana.  Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to family choice and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born May 19, 1974, in Marshall, he was the son of Clarence “Horse” Arnold Jr. and Gayla Faye Morris Burks.  Shannon lived in Saline County most of his life and was a 1993 graduate of Marshall High School.  After high school he attended, and graduated from, State Fair Community College in Sedalia.  Shannon had worked for Clifty Group where he was a pipeline superintendent, and was currently employed at Hahn & Phillips Trucking in Marshall.  He was married to Angela Rinehart Driskell and they later separated.  Shannon was an avid motorcyclist.

He is survived by his father, Clarence “Horse” Arnold (Terri Jo) of Malta Bend; his mother, Gayla Burks (Steven) of Sunrise Beach; one son, Gavin Arnold (Alynna) of Malta Bend; newborn grandson, Teegan Arnold; one sister, Freedom Jolliff (Codey) of Marshall; one brother, Kyran Burks (Amanda) of Jefferson City; nephews: Corbyn, Ryder, Myles and Caden; niece, Cora; stepson, Noah Driskell of Iowa; companion, Devon Black; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and many other family members.

Shannon was preceded in death by his grandparents.
