The Sedalia Area Chamber Of Commerce will host its second annual Hot Air Balloon and Kite Festival this Friday through Sunday on the Missouri State Fairgrounds.
Executive Director Debra Andresen says 24 balloons will take part in morning launches and evening glows on the west campgrounds. She says after last year’s debut event, organizers have adjusted how traffic will flow on and off the fairgrounds.
Kites will also feature at this year’s event.
Andresen adds that the weekend will include an expansive kids’ zone.
The kids’ zone operates Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., with the balloon glow to follow. Food trucks and additional entertainment will be on site.
