Roger Bruce McWilliams, Sr. age 85, of Carrollton, Mo passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at his home.

He was born October 14, 1938, in Bosworth, Missouri, son of Harold and Mildred Elizabeth (Purdy) McWilliams. In 1956, he married Frieda Lawson. Then later he married Barbara McFarland in 1965. In 2001 he married Patricia (Patsy) Brotherton, who preceded him in death.

Mr. McWilliams was a signalman for the Santa Fe Railroad until 1965 and was a lineman for the Carrollton Municipal Utilities retiring after 38 years. He was a Baptist and was a member of the Wakenda Masonic Lodge #52. He loved woodworking, fly fishing, mowing his yard, playing cards and watching his 12-14 deer which he fed every evening from his front porch.

Survivors include five sons, Roger Bruce McWilliams, Jr and wife Crystal, Carrollton, Missouri; Jerry Wayne McWilliams and wife Cheryl, Carrollton, Missouri; Randy Scott McWilliams and wife Angela, Norborne, Missouri; Joseph Ryan McWilliams, Norborne, Missouri; John (Levi) Matthew McWilliams and wife Cynthia, Carrollton, Missouri; four daughters, Phyllis Yvonne Germann and Husband Larry, Bogard, Missouri; Vicky Jeanette Warner and husband Randy (Raggs), Marshall, Missouri; Peggy Annette Rice and Husband Tim, Mendon, Missouri; Jennie Elizabeth Lee and husband James, Norborne, Missouri; a brother Glenn Roy McWilliams and wife Rebecca, Odessa, Missouri; twenty two grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Gene McWilliams, a daughter Molly Beth Ann McWilliams; three brothers, James Edward McWilliams, Milton Dale McWilliams, and Marion Lee (Mac) McWilliams.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00pm, Monday, June 10, 2024, at the Bittiker Funeral Home with Wakenda Masonic Lodge #52 conducting masonic services at 2:00pm.

Graveside services and burial will be held following the masonic service at the Big Creek Cemetery, Bosworth, Missouri.
