Two people were flown to a Columbia hospital after suffering serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident in western Cooper County on Saturday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 27-year-old Blake Green of Nelson was riding his motorcycle west on Shackleford Bridge Drive around 11 a.m, when Green’s bike skidded on the roadway and overturned. According to troopers, an all-terrain vehicle driven by 27-year-old Adrianna Martin of Boonville failed to stop, striking Green and a six-year-old passenger on Green’s motorcycle. Martin had no reported injuries and was able to drive her vehicle from the scene. The report added that Green and his passenger were not wearing the appropriate safety gear.
