Johnson County Clerk, Diane Thompson reminds county residents of the 5 p.m. deadline on Wednesday, July 10 to register to vote for the August 6, 2024, Primary Election.

If residents have moved from another state, the resident will need to register with Johnson County prior to the deadline. Due to a recent change in law, registered voters moving from one county to another within Missouri are now considered an address change. Voters changing their registration to Johnson County are encouraged to update their voter record prior to Election Day. Address changes made on Election Day must be made at the Johnson County Courthouse, Voter Registration Office in Warrensburg prior to the voter being allowed to vote.

The in-person voter registration location is in the Johnson County Courthouse.

Mail-in registration cards must be postmarked as of Wednesday, July 10, to be valid for the August Primary Election. Mail-in cards may be used for initial registration, transfer, change of address and name changes. The mail-in voter application locations include:
-Chilhowee: Post Office
-Holden: Bank of Holden (drive-thru), F & C Bank, Holden City Hall, Post Office Trails Regional Library
-Kingsville: Post Office
-Centerview: Post Office
-Pittsville: Pittsville Shell Gas Station
-Knob Noster: City Hall, Post Office, Trails Regional Library
-Leeton: Leeton City Hall, Casey’s, Public Library, Post Office
-Warrensburg: Community Health Services, Dept. of Motor Vehicle, WILS-West Central Independent Living Solutions, Trails Regional Library, Water District #1, Post Office, Division of Family Services

Voters may also register online at www.sos.mo.gov. Online voter registrations must be completed by the 5 p.m. deadline on July 10 to be eligible for the August Primary Election.
