The Odessa Board of Aldermen approved several special event permits during its meeting on Monday June 10.

The board started by approving a request from the Mid Missouri Tractor Club to hold a Memorial Cruise on Saturday, June 22. 15 police-escorted tractors will cruise neighborhoods in Odessa in memory of past members. The cruise will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The next request was from Kansas City Scale Motorsports to hold the R/C Rainforest Challenge at the Odessa Reservoir. This event is a 10th-scale, radio-controlled rock crawling competition that will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 22.

The final request was from the Odessa High School varsity cheer squad. The team wants to utilize the water spigot at Railroad Park for a car wash fundraiser, which will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 15.

All requests were approved by the board.
