The Moberly School District hired a new assistant high school principal and assistant activities athletic director for the 2024-2025 school year.

Damon Wells will begin as the new assistant principal of Moberly High School during the next school year. Wells comes to Moberly from the Jefferson City School District. He has sixteen years of experience as an assistant principal, he served as an Athletic Director for six years, and he was a head football coach for eighteen years. His professional career spans Florida, Colorado, and Missouri.

Travis Mundahl has been named the new Assistant Activities Director for the Moberly School District, as approved by the Board of Education. In this role, Mundahl will be responsible for assisting the activities director in day-to-day operations, and he will assist with supervision and class coverage at Moberly High School. Mr. Mundahl will help prepare facilities for community events, performances, and athletic events, as well as provide assistance with MSHSAA reporting and documentation.

Mundahl comes to Moberly after spending the last year in the role of K-12 principal in Atlanta School District in Missouri. Prior to that, Mr. Mundahl worked for Macon School District as an Elementary PE Teacher. After five years, he transitioned to high school weight training, finally spending three years as the Athletic Director in Macon. During that time, he coached football, basketball, and baseball at the varsity level.

Both Wells and Mundahl will begin their new roles on August 1, 2024.
