
The first of the third and final go-rounds for the Missouri Valley College men’s rodeo team did not result in additional points Wednesday night at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming.
Sophomore Kooper Heimburg did not post a score in his third performance in the bareback riding contest. He currently sits in 13th with an average of 144, and has contributed 65 ranking points to Valley’s 180 points, which has the team in ninth.
Four Vikings will compete this evening starting at 8 p.m. Central time. Seniors Ty Pope and Tyler Freeman will compete in saddle bronc riding, while seniors Easton Kerby and Nathan Pelke will have their team roping performance. Pope will have his third go-round in bareback riding Friday evening.
