Laura Marie Beatty, 100, died Monday, June 10, 2024 at E.W. Thompson Health & Rehabilitation Center in Sedalia.
Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, St. Patrick Chapel, with Fr. Brad Berhorst officiating. Inurnment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorials are suggested to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Chapel, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Sedalia.
Born October 12, 1923 in Pisa, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Ambrogio Capello and Giuseppina Nervo Capello. In 1947, she married John L. Beatty, and he preceded her in death on September 28, 1998.
She is survived by a sister, Maria Luukkonen of Sedalia; and several cousins.
Mrs. Beatty was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Chapel. She had worked at Town & Country Shoe Company, and later worked for many years in the Women’s Sportswear Department at C.W. Flower Company.
