Saline County Clerk Brittni Burton provided an update on how her office is searching for poll workers and election judges for the upcoming elections in August and November.

Burton says her office has already reached out to those who have worked in the past, but says the she’ll need more workers due to the expected voter turnout for the August Primary Election and the November General Election. Burton says she’ll need as much help from the community as she can get for these elections.

Burton also provided details on voter registration and absentee voting. New voters must be registered by 5 p.m. July 10 in order to vote in the August Primary Election.

Absentee voting begins on June 25, with no excuse absentee voting beginning on July 23. Burton’s office will also be open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, August 3 for absentee voting.

Burton also wanted to reminded voters about the photo ID laws for Missouri elections.
