
The Kansas City Royals fell to the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-3 on Friday, June 15.
Kansas City took the lead in the fourth after Savador Pérez drilled a three-run home run, his eleventh of the season.
The Dodgers would tie the game in the fifth, scoring three against Cole Ragans. Ragans went seven innings, giving up three runs on six hits.
The Dodgers took the lead in the bottom of the eighth with a go-ahead RBI single from Freddie Freeman. Kansas City was unable to answer and dropped the first game of the series.
The Royals drop to 40-31 on the season and are six games back from the Guardians in the AL Central.
