
The Concordia Board of Aldermen heard updates on the city’s water line repair and sewer inspections during its most recent meeting.
City Administrator Dale Klussman reported that the city began began a water project on the west side of Concordia on Monday, June 3. The work is being conducted between 7th and 8th Street, and between Magdalena and Frederick Street.
Klussman said the city is ready to proceed with the project after making a water line connection on Magdalena Street. Klussman gave a report about the sewer line inspections.
Also, the board introduced a resolution to authorize the sale of up to $175,000 of lease purchases to Concordia Bank. This resolution is for the for the HVAC equipment at the Concordia Community Center. Klussman said several local banks, including Concordia Bank and State Bank of Missouri, put in bids for the resolution.
