The City of Marshall has a new counselor who started in the post this week.

Elizabeth Bellamy has assumed the post, beginning Thursday. Bellamy was previously the vice president of student affairs at Missouri Valley College and an assistant state attorney general. City Administrator JD Kehrman says he’s looking forward to working alongside Bellamy.

Kehrman introduced Bellamy at Tuesday’s city council meeting, where he also provided an update on the city’s summer paving projects.

Kehrman says a successful paving program helps to maintain the city’s quality of life and economic development potential.
