The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the Houstonia teen involved in a one-vehicle accident south of the town has died from her injuries.

The Highway Patrol reports that the 14-year-old died from her injuries in a Columbia hospital around 4:20 p.m. Friday. Troopers say she was the driver of a sedan that went off Route K around McCubbin Road just before 1 a.m. Friday, striking a culvert. The unidentified teenager is Troop A’s 42nd traffic fatality for 2024.
