The Fayette School District Board of Education approved the Fiscal Year 2025 budget during its meeting on Wednesday, June 19.

Superintendent Brent Doolin said the board finalized the Fiscal Year 2024 budget, before approving next year’s budget.

Fund 4 is the Capital Projects fund, which is geared toward long-term investments in the school’s infrastructure, facilities and equipment.

In other news, the board voted to add cross country as a fall sport for Fayette High School. Doolin said there was some interest in bringing back the program after a survey among students.
