The Fayette School District Board of Education swore in a new board member during its meeting on Wednesday, June 19.
The board decided to appoint Matt Hudson to the vacant seat. Hudson was sworn in and will serve the remainder of the term, which expires in April 2025.
In other news, the board approved bids for food and dairy products. Fayette Superintendent Brent Doolin said the board approved bids from Kohl’s for grocery products and Prairie Farms for dairy.
The board also gave approval to apply for a No Kid Hungry grant, which would help subsidize the district’s food service program.
