
Above-average temperatures remain in the forecast for the next several days, prompting a heat advisory from the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill.
Warning Coordination Meteorologist Jonathan Kurtz, says heat indices will enter the triple digits later Monday and last for several days.
Kurtz warns that there won’t be much relief in the evening.
Jonathan Kurtz with the National Weather Service adds that meteorologists are also keeping their eyes on gauges along the Missouri River, as floodwaters from Iowa and the Dakotas are making their way downriver. The river from Napoleon to Glasgow is expected to enter minor flood stage Friday.
