It’s not just the thermometer rising in the region, but also flood gauges along the Missouri River.
The National Weather Service is forecasting minor flooding along the river from Napoleon to Glasgow by Friday, with Glasgow expected to crest in moderate stage by Tuesday. Warning Coordination Meteorologist Jonathan Kurtz says it’s all from upstream, but some showers in our forecast could make things muddier.
Kurtz notes that the heavy rains have been concentrated in Western Iowa and have not inundated the Chariton or Grand rivers.
Minor flooding is also expected in Boonville by Monday.
