Scaffolding will soon go up around the Saline County Courthouse for a two-month project repairing the building’s roof.
The project to replace the roof follows multiple instances of hail damage since the courthouse’s renovation project, according to Presiding Commissioner Becky Plattner.
Renaissance Roofing Company will return to make the repairs. Plattner says repairs are also scheduled for the dome and electric flag.
The project is expected to take two months, with nearly all of the $263,980 price tag covered by insurance. Parking on the west side of the square will be limited while the project is underway. The Saline County Commission has posted photos of the roof damage on the county’s website.
