The Blackwater R-II School District passed their budget for the next school year at last week’s Board of Education meeting.  Superintendent Tanya Brown provided an update on the district’s budget.

Board members also approved the hiring of Pam Jones as the district’s new paraprofessional.  Meanwhile, three of the district’s four school buses are back in service after all four failed initial inspection by the Missouri State Highway Patrol this spring.  Brown says the district made the necessary repairs to pass inspection a second time, while the fourth bus will remain on reserve.

Brown says Blackwater R-II finished the year with an enrollment of 93 students, and should begin the new school year with 97.
